"The Volari V8 certainly proved to be a very interesting piece of hardware. This card has pretty good performance for the average gamer as we can see and proved to be a worthy alternative to the Radeon 9550 and GeforceFX 5700 LE which are both in the same price range. Its performance seems to match the Radeon 9600/9600 Pro too."

" XGI's Volari V8 Ultra is an interesting new entry into the immense market of 3D graphics cards 3D, in position to fight often equally with the GeForceFX 5600 and Radeon 9600 (and exceeded them in tests too). The quality and video are without doubt optimal, while the support software from XGI's part is excellent, as they improve more and more more their drivers with newer versions.
All in all, the XGI Volari V8 Ultra has demonstrated to be a worthy alternative to be taken into serious consideration from customers who wish to obtain more power for 3D without having to put the hand to the money box too much. Bravo XGI! "
